"Huba, huba Blair looked good!"  several classmates

Hi All,

I wanted to add my comment to the message board about our 25th Class Reunion.   Let me start by saying that even 7 months after the reunion, I am still enjoying reminiscing the wonderful evening.  I'm also happy to report that the 25th reunion committee is still 'meeting' on about a quarterly basis and still having a ball!

Planning our 25th gala was a lot of work, but so much fun was had in the process.  I encourage everyone to start thinking about our next reunion and perhaps getting involved this time, even if you live far away.  With the wonder of the internet, much of the work can be done via email.  Lord knows, tracking classmates addresses is a monumental task and help is always needed there.  (*please keep us updated everyone!)

Back to the reunion weekend itself.  From the venue of the Ecotarium to the tour of the renovated high school, I had fun from beginning to end.  It was wonderful to see everyone, especially as they came in while I was sitting at the registration table.  (*even the penguins!)  I overlooked the sound issues with the mic when we tried to make announcements during dinner, and instead enjoyed the delicious and carefully selected foods.  (though I was too excited to eat much)  We later wished we had moved the desserts (and coffee) to the downstairs, as some never got a chance to indulge.  (I forgot all about them after the expedition on the train.)

We had to run to make the train ride, which was great fun, and I laughed all the way listening to classmates singing 'Meatloaf' at the top of their lungs as we choo-choo'd along the dark grounds offering greetings to the animals.  After the train, for me it was all about the dancing.  Well, the champagne and chambord, too....(a first for me)  Suddenly we found ourselves at the end of the evening wondering where we all should go 'next'.  It was tough.  A few of us chatted in the parking lot until the wee hours it seemed, waiting for a classmate's taxi to arrive, then we made our way to the Horton's house to enjoy some more champagne.

The day of the picnic was very sunny and quite hot.  We all hid under the shady overhangs of the school and enjoyed a really interesting tour of the gorgeous new high school.  My favorite parts were the foreign language labs and hanging on the balcony reminiscing and taking photos.  Sitting and chatting and meeting classmates' children was also really special.  We even had a few celeb faculty join in on the fun.

When it was all over, it was sad to say goodbye, but also wonderful to share the smiles and hugs with classmates who overwhelmingly and genuinely offered what a great time that they had, and their appreciation for everyone's efforts putting it together.

We have a great class and wonderful spirit.  I look forward to seeing everyone at the 30th and hope that even more classmates will come next time.  This is one tradition that I've come to really enjoy.  Hope you feel the same~

Peace to all,
Paula (Benoit) Hogan

ps:  Everyone looked wonderfully 'hubba bubba'!
